Our Pastor
Senior Pastor of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Ardmore, Oklahoma which is affectionately known as “the church on the hill.” Pastor Credle has served over twenty years in pastoral ministry, currently on his third year at Mount Zion.

Rev. John-Alfred Credle Jr.
A Native of Brooklyn, New York. Pastor Credle received a Bachelor of Science Degree from New York City College of Technology of the City University of New York. Pastor Credle has earned a Master of Science Degree in Education from Alfred University and Master of Divinity Degree from Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York. Pastor Credle also earned certification in Clinical Pastoral Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary in the City of New York. Currently, Pastor Credle is in his final year at Payne Theological Seminary, Wilberforce, Ohio in pursuit of a Doctor of Ministry Degree.
Pastor Credle is actively involved in the community and sits on the board of directors for the New Dimension Literacy Council and sits as City Commissioner for Ward 2 in Ardmore. Pastor Credle is also an active and proud member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated.
Pastor Credle has been married to his childhood sweetheart, Cheron D. Credle for 24 years; they have one son, Joshua and three daughters Jordan, Victory and Zoe.

On May 2, 2016, the Lord led Mount Zion to call Rev. John-Alfred Credle Jr. as pastor. Rev. Credle is the 13th pastor in Mount Zion’s 133-year history. Pastor Credle has a vision that will restore and revitalize Mount Zion to accomplish the great work of discipleship in the community of Ardmore and beyond.
Through the help of the Lord, Rev. Credle is leading Mount Zion to higher heights. The three cornerstones of Credle’s ministry are:
1. TEACH to make disciples
2. TOUCH to restore lives and give hope
3. Jesus TRANSFORMS our family, community, and generation
